About Robbie Boyd
Robbie Boyd has performed live on ITV's This Morning twice, played alongside the likes of Katie Melua, Jack Savoretti and Frank Turner. He’s written a song with Matt Cardle from the X-Factor, as well as Ray Davies from The Kinks. He’s also supported Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Daughter amongst others, and played in front of 30,000 people before McFly and The Feeling at the Olympic Park. BBC Radio 2 are big fans of his and Graham Norton has played nearly 15 of Robbie’s songs. He has toured the world from Argentina, Australia, Europe, to Japan and already released three brilliant albums. His songs have also been played on Absolute Radio, Xfm, and BBC 6 Music. He was the first ever Brit, to perform on the roof of the O2 Arena. Simon Cowell, Sir Tim Rice and Paul O’Grady are amongst his fans.
One thing that sets Boyd apart from the rest, is that his music is sensitive, soul-full and heart-warming, while the rhythms and sounds that he delivers are folky, ballads and poppy-bangers all at the same time. He is certainly one to watch, as Time Out, The Times, and Record of The Day, would also attest to. The Evening Standard and London Live have also supported Boyd from the early years to now.
